Job Title: Security Officer

Job Summary: We are seeking a responsible, reliable, and vigilant Security Officer to join our team. The Security Officer will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of people, property, and assets within the premises. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a proactive approach to security, possess excellent observation and problem-solving skills, and respond effectively to emergency situations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Monitor and patrol assigned areas to ensure safety and security.

- Operate and monitor security systems, including surveillance cameras, alarms, and access control systems (if applicable to your area).

- Perform routine inspections of buildings, equipment, and access points.

- Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, or emergencies and provide appropriate assistance.

- Enforce company policies and regulations, including site access control and visitor management.

- Report security breaches, suspicious activities, and hazards.

- Provide written reports on incidents, accidents, and security observations.

- Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency services when necessary.

- Conduct security briefings for staff or visitors as required.

- Assist in maintaining a secure working environment by ensuring compliance with safety procedures.

- Maintain a high level of customer service while interacting with employees, visitors, or clients.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional security training or certifications (e.g., CPR, First Aid) is a plus.

- Proven experience as a Security Officer or relevant position.

- Familiarity with security systems and alarm systems.

- Strong observational and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond swiftly to security issues.

- Physical ability to patrol and respond to incidents.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Flexibility to work in shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred Skills:

- Knowledge of safety and security protocols.

- Experience in handling emergency situations.

Working Conditions:

- May require long periods of standing or patrolling.

- Potential exposure to outdoor weather conditions.

- Occasional lifting or physical intervention may be required in emergencies.
