Our focus on respect, integrity, and teamwork allows us to create meaningful change for the individuals and families we serve, while ensuring that each team member thrives in a supportive, collaborative workplace.  If you have a genuine passion for helping others and are eager to contribute to meaningful change, we invite you to bring your enthusiasm and lend your talents to advancing our mission. TITLE: RESPITE CONNECTIONS PROGRAM COORDINATOR REPORTS TO: DIRECTOR OF SUPPORT SERVICES GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The Program Coordinator, under the supervision of the Director of Support Services, shall develop, implement, coordinate, and monitor the Respite Connections program. Respite Connections is Saturday respite program that occurs twice/month and provides engaging activities to enhance the social skills and confidence of youth ages 3-21 with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Respite Connections takes place at The College of New Jersey. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Supervise Direct Support Professionals, including interviews, annual evaluations, quarterly staff meetings, etc. Enter progress notes and confirm attendance records for each event. Lead expansion efforts to increase program attendance through correspondence with families, school districts, and local groups. Manage the hiring, training, and oversight of Respite Connection staff. Plan and coordinate all Respite Connections activities. Conduct intake interviews for new program participants. Ensure all required documentation is gathered and submitted to funders as requested. Develop program materials including flyers, policies, brochures, fact sheets, flyers, articles, etc. Promote program and initiate program expansion through collaborative relationships with community groups, service providers, and Care Management Organization (CMO’s). Be attentive, flexible, and supportive of youth with intellectual and/or developmental and their families Maintain youth information files, records, applications, etc. and update information when applicable Submit all pertinent documents and data entry, including attendance sheets ,program notes, authorizations, timesheets, reconciliation reports, coordinator reports, incident reports, etc. by specified deadlines Order materials needed for each program site and track expenses Perform other tasks and duties as assigned by supervisor and/or CEO   QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree required, background in Social Service field (social work, special education, psychology, etc.) preferred        EXPERIENCE: Two years of direct work with individuals with disabilities and their families. Program development and administration experience preferred. Additional experience may decrease educational requirement (Associate Degree/courses toward degree).
