 Position Summary:

The Inventory Control Lead is responsible for overseeing and guiding the Inventory Control Team (Levels I, II, and III) to ensure accurate and efficient management of inventory across all company sites. This role provides leadership, training and support, including on-site visits as needed, to maintain inventory accuracy, reduce losses, and implement best practices across the organization. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead, train, and mentor Inventory Control I, II, and III team members. 
  • Proactively work to assist others in achieving the organization’s objectives. 
  • Provide on-site leadership and support at all company locations as required. 
  • Oversee and participate in detailed cycle counts, audits and inventory processes, including reconciliations and reporting. 
  • Maintain and update inventory management systems, ensuring data accuracy for all stock movements and adjustments.
  • Collaborate with warehouse, operations, and supply chain teams to optimize inventory management. 
  • Identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for process improvements. 
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve complex inventory discrepancies, reporting findings to management. 
  • Implement and enforce inventory control policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Support audits and ensure compliance with internal and external standards.
  • Drive initiatives to reduce losses and inefficiencies in inventory management. 
  • Assist in system improvements or technology implementations related to inventory control.
  • Occasionally provide end-of-week reports on ongoing projects and cycle counts to leadership.
  • Build and manage team schedules to support operational needs. 

Required Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • 3-5 years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or supply chain management
  • Microsoft Excel experience including Pivot Tables and V-Lookup
  • Proficiency with inventory management systems, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Leadership experience, including managing teams across multiple sites
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License to commute between locations

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bilingual – English / Spanish
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements:

Work is primarily performed in a non-climate-controlled environment with moderate noise levels. Regularly required to sit, stand, and use hands for typing, filing, and other repetitive tasks. Occasionally required to lift or move objects up to 25 pounds. Exposure to moving machinery, forklifts, and other material-handling equipment. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required. Must be able to perform repetitive motions. Work is conducted in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
