**Note: This is an onsite role based out of the Service Center in Forrest City, AR.  Candidates from outside the area would be expected to relocate for this role; relocation assistance is not available for this posting. This postion will be titled Storekeeper 1st year only **

 

JOB SUMMARY

The Storekeeper is responsible for managing the company's material inventory, including ordering, receiving, stocking, and conducting physical inventory. They will lead and participate in safety meetings, monitor inventory levels, and coordinate with various departments to ensure efficient material management. The Storekeeper will also be responsible for data entry, processing materials for salvage or disposal, and maintaining a clean and orderly stores facility.

 

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Know and adhere to all company Safety rules and procedures.
  2. Lead and participate in Safety meetings.   
  3. Ordering, receiving, and stocking of material inventory.
  4. Conduct routine physical inventory.
  5. Monitor automatic inventory replenishment levels.
  6. Maintain communications with network leadership and EDC on material requests and concerns.
  7. Monitor bad order transformers, meters, and lighting.
  8. MAXIMO data entry to charge material and maintain FERC required files.
  9. Coordinate resolution of problems and special shipments with the EDC and vendors.
  10. Identify, inspect, prepare, and process materials for salvage or disposal.
  11. Maintain a clean and orderly stores facility.
  12. Must be able to file, organize and maintain records associated with Stores operations according to Records Retention policies. 
  13. Be available for out-of-town storm response.
  14. Ability to pass DOT Phsycial 

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Minimum education required of the position:

Desired: High school diploma/GED

Minimum experience required of the position:

  • Storekeeper 1st year:  1-year of previous Storeroom experience

Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position:

  1. Operate forklifts.
  2. Ability to operate ride on pallet jacks.
  3. Perform basic math calculations.
  4. Learn identity and nomenclature of standard electric utility material.
  5. Basic Computer operation knowledge
  6. Have a working knowledge of Maximo and other stores related software and applications.
  7. Role requires frequent repetitive lifting, carrying, and maneuvering of materials weighing up to 50lbs.
  8. Role requires extended periods of standing and walking, along with regular bending.
