Summary

As part of the materials team, this position is responsible for supporting the SMT stockroom, main stockroom, and shipping/receiving functions. The primary focus of this role is pulling, issuing, and returning material for shop orders while maintaining inventory accuracy and organization throughout the stockroom.

The ideal candidate will have good organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while shifting priorities as needed.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Put away newly received material into assigned stockroom locations.
  • Prioritize, pull, and issue material for shop orders to support production.
  • Verify and return material from production to assigned stockroom locations at the completion of shop orders.
  • Perform daily cycle counts and maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through inventory transactions and reconciliation activities.
  • Organize and maintain stockroom locations for efficient material flow.
  • Ensure all material is handled and stored according to FIFO guidelines.
  • Maintain special handling and storage requirements for static-sensitive SMT components.
  • Identify, report, and help reconcile inventory discrepancies, damaged material, or missing inventory.
  • Support shipping and receiving activities as needed, including packaging shipments, preparing packing slips, and assisting with freight shipments.
  • Process inventory transactions accurately within the ShopworX ERP system.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized stockroom environment.
  • Work with production, purchasing, and receiving teams to support material priorities and customer needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience in stockroom, shipping, receiving, warehouse, or inventory control is helpful but not required.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office programs.
  • Experience with ERP systems is helpful but not required.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, bend, twist, stretch, and lift throughout the shift.
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs independently and up to 70 lbs with assistance.
  • May occasionally be required to work overtime
