About the role

Kaimetrix is seeking a Telecommunications Engineer – Level II to support the design, testing, upgrade, and integration of telecommunication networks, systems, and equipment in a secure, mission-critical environment. This role contributes to telecommunications engineering efforts by implementing solutions, maintaining documentation, and ensuring systems meet operational and security requirements.

What you'll do

Design, test, upgrade, and integrate new or existing telecommunication networks in accordance with business requirements
Document all aspects of the engineering process including build, configuration, testing, and deployment activities
Plan, coordinate, and implement security measures to safeguard telecommunication networks and systems
Coordinate with architecture teams to evaluate new telecommunication technologies and provide recommendations
Troubleshoot complex issues and coordinate vendor support when necessary to resolve system challenges
Support the implementation and maintenance of reliable and secure telecommunications infrastructure
Ensure systems meet operational requirements and align with organizational security standards

Qualifications

Education/Experience:

Minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in telecommunications engineering or related IT infrastructure roles
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience

Certifications:

CompTIA Security+, CCNA

Clearance:

Active Tier 3 (T3) background investigation or ability to obtain and maintain
