Responsibilities

What You'll Do

As an Access Control Officer, you will:

  • Monitor and control access to government facilities and restricted areas.
  • Verify visitor identities and issue temporary access credentials in accordance with established policies.
  • Screen personnel and visitors using magnetometers and X-ray equipment.
  • Conduct security inspections and facility access checks to ensure compliance with security procedures.
  • Secure and safeguard government property, equipment, and facilities.
  • Identify, document, and immediately report security violations or suspicious activity.
  • Respond to emergencies and provide CPR, AED, and First Aid assistance when needed.
  • Support special security operations and events in coordination with the Security Operations Center.
  • Assist emergency responders, law enforcement, and other authorized personnel as directed.
  • Perform additional security-related duties as assigned.

 


Qualifications

  • Minimum High School Diploma or GED    
  • Able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance    
  • Certified in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) & Automated External Defibrillators (AED) certified (100%), and trained in Red Cross First Aid.
