Overview of position:

FEDITC is seeking a Lead Security Assistant/PM to work at Fort Belvoir, VA

A United States Citizenship and an active Top Secret/SCI DoD Security Clearance is required to be considered for this position.

 This is an upcoming opportunity contingent on contract award.

Responsibilities

  • Taking appropriate actions, in accordance with Agency policy, to correct discrepancies.
  • Escorting uncleared visitors including contractors.
  • Receiving and processing deliveries, packages and mail up to 50 lbs.
  • Responding to facility and personnel emergencies.
  • In-process and out process CAA employees and contractors.
  • Opening and closing the CAA building in accordance with Army, CAA, and Fort Belvoir Physical Security policies. Generally, this is from 0600-1800 on weekdays. However, there may be requirements to provide security support at night or on weekends.
  • Processing Visitor Access Requests and ensuring that incoming visitors have appropriate security clearances.
  • Supporting the Information Security Program including provisioning/removing/ access open storage rooms and SCIF areas, opening and securing classified storage containers and SCIF areas, changing X-10 combinations, protecting and destroying classified information, and the associated administrative requirements in accordance with Army Regulation (AR) 380-5.
  • Assist in coordinating and ensure seamless processing of foreign visitors and service members.
  • Providing administrative support to processing security clearances.
  • Providing security for temporary SCIF operations within the facility, as required.
  • Controlling access to the building and operating the CAA access control system, Integrated Commercial Intrusion Detection System (ICIDS), and closed-circuit TV
  • Individuals must demonstrate the ability to read and write effectively, follow written and verbal instructions, seek clarification when necessary, and understand and apply all relevant security regulations, policies and procedures.
  • Strong observational, listening, and communication skills, problem-solving/solution-finding capabilities, and self-confidence
  • Must be team players, proactive, adaptable, and comfortable with the use of technology

Education:

  • High school or general educational diploma is required.

Clearance:

  • Active Top Secret/ SCI clearance is required.
  • Must be a United States Citizen and pass a background check.
  • Maintain applicable security clearance(s) at the level required by the client and/or applicable certification(s) as requested by FEDITC and/or required by FEDITC’S Client(s)/Customer(s)/Prime contractor(s).
