Summary:

Are you passionate about food preparation and creating quality meals that make a difference? Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center is seeking a Food Service Prep Cook to join our Nutrition & Food Service team. ✨

In this role, you'll help prepare fresh, nutritious meals that support our patients, visitors, and staff. Working alongside experienced culinary professionals, you'll contribute to patient meal service, retail dining, catering events, and other food service operations in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

What You'll Do:
- Prepare ingredients and perform food preparation and basic cooking duties.
- Support patient meal service, retail operations, catering, and special events.
- Follow standardized recipes, production sheets, and portion standards to ensure quality and consistency.
- Assist with therapeutic diet requirements and food allergy accommodations.
- Adhere to HACCP food safety, sanitation, and infection control standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen and work area.
- Work collaboratively with Food Service leadership and the culinary team to deliver exceptional service.

The starting hourly rate for this position is $18.33 which includes a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications:

Required Education and Experience

High School diploma or High School Equivalency diploma and the equivalent of one (1) year of prior full-time experience in food service operations.

NOTE:
Degrees must be conferred by an accredited school, college, or university, or by an institution recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center and/or Health Research Incorporated as adhering to acceptable educational standards.

Preferred Qualifications

The ideal candidate should have previous food preparation, cooking, or food service experience. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices, ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, along with a positive attitude and team-oriented mindset.
