Summary:

In this role, you’ll provide expert patient care, health education, and supportive counseling to oncology and ICU-level patients, delivering skilled nursing interventions that promote recovery, stability, and overall well-being. Working in a fast-paced, highly specialized environment, you’ll collaborate closely with physicians and licensed providers to implement treatment plans, monitor patient status, and respond to evolving clinical needs. You will also lead and support a dedicated team of nurses and clinical support staff while ensuring the highest standards of compassionate, patient-centered care.

Compensation:
The starting rate of pay for this position is $47.58 per hour. For the night shift, there is an additional night shift differential of $6.50 per hour. The listed pay rate reflects the potential compensation for this role, and the actual offer may vary based on the candidate’s qualifications, skills, and experience.

Qualifications:

Required Education and Experience

License Requirement
License to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York.

Education and Experience
1. Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and the equivalent of one (1) year of full-time oncology nursing experience; or
2. Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and the equivalent of one (1) year of full-time critical care experience; or
3. Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and the equivalent of two (2) years of full-time medical-surgical experience in an acute care setting; or
4. Graduation from an accredited school of nursing, the equivalent of one (1) year of full-time medical-surgical experience in an acute care setting and completion of Roswell Park nursing orientation with the ability to function independently at a satisfactory level for three (3) months (full-time) as a Nurse I at Roswell Park.

NOTE:
1. Incumbents will serve a one (1) year full-time probationary period as a Nurse II.
2. Degrees must be conferred by an accredited school, college, or university, or by an institution recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center and/or Health Research Incorporated as adhering to acceptable educational standards.
