GiaCare Inc. is accepting applications from experienced Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Registered Nurses for a future opportunity supporting Evans Army Community Hospital at Fort Carson, Colorado.
This position is being recruited in anticipation of contract award. Qualified candidates will be considered for employment upon contract award.

Join a collaborative perioperative team providing exceptional post-anesthesia care to active-duty service members, military retirees, and their families at one of the Army's premier military treatment facilities. This position offers the opportunity to care for patients recovering from surgical procedures in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment while supporting military readiness and patient care.
Schedule
- Full-Time
- Monday-Friday
- Day shifts between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM
- 8-hour or 10-hour shifts based on clinical needs
- Rotating on-call responsibilities
- Federal holidays as required by the medical treatment facility

Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients recovering from anesthesia
- Perform ongoing patient assessments and monitor recovery
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Monitor cardiac, respiratory, and neurological status
- Recognize and respond to post-operative complications
- Educate patients and families regarding discharge instructions
- Document patient care accurately within the electronic medical record
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and interdisciplinary healthcare professionals
Minimum Qualifications
- U.S. Citizen
- Associate Degree in Nursing from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
- Current, full, active, unrestricted Registered Nurse license in any U.S. state or territory
- Minimum two (2) years of PACU nursing experience within the past three (3) years
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or willing to obtain)
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (or willing to obtain)
- Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (or willing to obtain)
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong critical care and post-anesthesia assessment skills
- Experience using electronic medical records
