Entomology Field Technician

Job Description

The Colorado Natural Heritage Program is looking for a field technician to assist in field collection of entomology biodiversity data for the Statewide Natural Heritage Program. This position is seasonal and will entail much time spent outdoors in a variety of potentially inclement conditions.

Full consideration will be no later than Tuesday, March 31st 2026.

Essential job duties include:

1. Hiking up to 10 miles a day

2. Collecting data on rare insects

3. Attention to field safety

4. Following the entomology team lead

5. Traveling to potentially remote field sites

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's

Prefered Qualifications: previous experience working with insects in field conditions.
