Job Summary
The Advanced Computing Solutions (ACS) Quality Engineer- Workstation Products is responsible for designing and integrating quality requirements for all phases of larger and complex development and manufacturing projects. The role focuses on analyzing and reviewing new product designs for potential quality issues, providing actionable feedback to enhance product quality and minimize failure risks. The role applies developed subject matter knowledge to contribute creative solutions to complex problems and provides a fresh perspective. The role collaborates with stakeholders to implement product/process changes and champions quality improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Designs and integrates quality requirements, processes, and practices into the development, design, manufacturing of a product or solution.

  • Analyzes and reviews portions of new product and solution designs and specifications for potential quality issues.

  • Provides tangible feedback and proposes changes to improve product quality and minimize risk of failures.

  • Solves difficult and complex problems with a fresh perspective, performs root-cause analysis, develops recommendations or demonstrates good judgment in selecting creative solutions and managing projects independently.

  • Assists in the gathering of data and information and supports the tracking and reporting of these data points against various quality related performance metrics.

  • Reviews reports, test data, and process results for assigned components and subsystems to identify trends and issues.

  • Conducts meetings and communicates product and process issue analysis and propose recommendations to product stakeholders.

  • Collaborates with management, internal, and outsourced manufacturing and development partners to recommend and implement changes to product or process to reduce defects and improve quality and lower costs.

  • Represents the quality engineering team for all phases of larger and more- complex development and manufacturing projects.

  • Provides mentoring and guidance to less-experienced staff members to set an example of quality engineering design and development, innovation, and excellence.


Education & Experience Recommended

  • Four-year or Graduate Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.

  • Typically has 4-7 years of work experience, preferably in quality assurance, reliability, or a related field or an advanced degree with 3-5 years of work experience.

Compensation and Benefits

The pay range for this role is $83,000.00 - 120,350.00 USD annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to United States of America candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
