JOB OVERVIEW As an Event Bartender, you will be an ambassador for the exceptional service and cuisine that are hallmarks of our brand and event experiences. Your warm, personal attention provides a memorable first impression for our guests in providing superior service and memorable experiences resulting in potential repeat and referral business of our restaurants, bars and facilities, making them feel welcome and valued. Personally, engage with our guests in a warm and authentic manner at all times. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Showcase your talents as Bartender with Ginger and Baker Provides attentive and friendly service to customers in events and at bartop Fully set for custom bar selections before each event in various locations in the building Ability to execute accurate cocktails in a timely manner while engaging with event guests Wine, beer and cocktail knowledge Takes beverage orders from customers, event servers, and service personnel Mixes/follows, ingredients/recipes such as liquor, soda, water, sugar, and bitters to prepare cocktails and other drinks as specified. Serves wine and draught or bottled beer. Collects money for drinks and food served. Operates, balances and reconciles cash till and POS sales. Restocks to par levels before and after each shift Cleans/arranges bottles and glasses to make attractive display. Slices/prepares and pits fruit for garnishing drinks. Monitors consumption of alcohol by guests. Maintain clean and sanitary workspace and serving conditions with dated food and beverage items, returning items after service. Assists event service team in set up, cleanup, side-work, running food, taking orders, etc. Duties, responsibilities, requirements and expectations pertaining to this job are subject to change as needed. Performs other reasonable duties as requested by Management. SCHEDULE This is not a Monday thru Friday job. It requires a flexible schedule that includes days, nights, weekends, holidays. As with all events jobs, work load and hours vary highly and can fluctuate from light in some weeks or seasons to full time in others. EQUIPMENT/SOFTWARE USED Point of Sale RESPONSIBILITIES TO SAFETY Protect the safety of self, Team Members and Guests at all times. Promptly report any incidents and/or potentially harmful equipment or situations to the immediate supervisor and/or appropriate department(s). Report/document safety-related accidents and incidents at once to immediate supervisor and appropriate department(s), following documented procedures. Follow all company and department safety policies and procedures as required. Operate equipment in a safe manner that will not lead to injury of yourself or others. QUALIFICATIONS Must be a minimum of 21 years of age or older upon employment. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE Has demonstrated skills, knowledge and competency in the areas of service, mixology, wine and beer. At least 2 years extensive bartending experience in large volume environments. DISCRETION/ INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT Must be able to work independently As a hospitality professional you will have to take initiative and get creative in resolving challenges and involve your manager when previous methods have been unsuccessful. Must always present a hospitality mentality--warm and generous, calm under pressure CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS TIPS and Serve Safe certifications (Ginger and Baker will provide paid training and certification if not current in Larimer County).
