Seeking a full-time Maintenance Coordinator beginning August 2026 at Liberty Common Junior High School in Fort Collins, Colorado – a Poudre School District charter school dedicated to using the Core Knowledge curriculum in grades K-8. The standalone junior-high school opened to students in August of 2025 and has enrolled over 250 junior-high students in its opening year.Â
The maintenance coordinator has responsibility for monitoring all aspects of building maintenance. This is a full-time non-exempt position.Â
FLSA CLASSIFICATION: Salary Non-Exempt
EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Regular, Full-time
WORK HOURS: 40 hours per week
PAY RANGE: $45,000-$60,000
REPORTS TO: Principal
REVISION DATE: April 2026
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of the building.
- Prioritize different maintenance needs and gather bids for work.
- Work with contractors on building improvements throughout the year and over the summer.
- Coordinate successful building inspections.
- Pick up trash in the morning and throughout the day.
- Set up and take down lunch tables every day for lunch.
- Coordinate equipment maintenance.
- Clean building as needed throughout the day.
- Order and restock bathroom and kitchen supplies.
- Take items in building to lost and found.
- Set up and take down folding chairs and folding tables when needed.
- Supervise the two evening custodians.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:Â
- Desire and willingness to learn about Liberty’s history and philosophy and to uphold and promote the mission and values of the school.
- High school diploma.Â
- Driver’s license.
- Successful background check.
 Preferred Characteristics:Â
- Understanding of Liberty Common School’s history and a commitment to maintaining and promoting the school’s mission and values.
- Excellent organizational skills to plan and schedule regular maintenance tasks, inspections, and repairs, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Quick identification of issues, determination of their cause, and implementation of effective solutions.
- Effective communication with vendors, contractors, and staff members, ensuring all understand their roles and responsibilities related to maintenance tasks.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to maneuver uneven surfaces.
- Must be able to carry or transfer up to 50lbs of supplies frequently.
- Must be able to work in occasionally loud environments.
- Must be able to frequently use office technology including computers, copiers, and printers.
