MacKay is seeking a Safety Program Specialist to join our team in Fort Collins, CO. Experience with emergency response planning across a variety of projects is preferred. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft and update the site emergency response plan, evacuation maps, and safety guides.
  • Lead hazard assessments, train employees, and build clear protocols for fires, natural disasters, or medical crises.
  • Ensure compliance with local safety rules.
  • Teach workers how to react during fires, spills, or medical emergencies.
  • Plan safety tests and practice drills for all staff.
  • Meet with local fire, police, and health groups to align safety steps.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in safety, health, or emergency management (or related work experience).
  • Strong writing skills for clear safety manuals.
  • Deep understanding of OSHA rules and disaster response steps.
  • Two to four years of safety or crisis planning work.

Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as various market and business considerations.

US Pay Range
$55—$82 USD

Full-time employees receive a well-rounded benefit package including access to our company-sponsored Medical (including an HSA High Deductible option), Dental, Vision, FSA, and Supplemental Life Insurance plans. We also offer 100% company-paid Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, and Long-Term Disability coverage. Employees are eligible to participate in our company's 401(k) plan with up to a 4% match. Additionally, employees receive paid vacation and sick time, 11 paid holidays, and are able to participate in employee ownership options. MacKay pays for expenses associated with licensure as well as annual performance bonuses.

Employment requires passing a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
