TA Services, Inc., is looking for a Software Systems Engineer for our client the Colorado Department of Public Safety.

Project Scope

This position will provide support and technical guidance in evaluating and implementing software solutions related to automotive shop management, warehouse management, inventory management, and asset management for the Colorado Department of Public Safety, Logistics Services Section. The purpose of this position is to identify and deliver effective software solutions that meet the organization's needs.

Key Responsibilities

ā— Solicit feedback from each LSS Branch (Fleet, Warehouse, and Wildland Fire Logistics) to understand their software needs for various business functions related to automotive repair, asset management and warehouse management. Frequently provide updates to LSS leadership.

ā— Off-the-Shelf Software Solutions Research, explore, test, and evaluate existing commercial software products that could meet LSS Branch requirements.

ā— Research, explore, develop, and test custom software solutions to address specific requirements that cannot be met with off-the-shelf options.

ā— Assist with general administrative tasks, including data entry, filing and other duties typically associated with inventory and asset management.

Requirements & Qualifications

The preferred candidate will have knowledge and experience with:

ā—‹ Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical disciplines

ā—‹ Designing software architectures, system modeling, requirements analysis, and ensuring software integrates seamlessly with hardware

ā—‹ System-level testing, debugging, monitoring, and ensuring system integrity and performance

ā—‹ API development

ā—‹ Spreadsheet expertise
