Responsibilities
- Completes high-quality, patient-centered CT and X-ray exams (based on department needs) for all age ranges, from neonatal to elderly, in accordance with established policies, procedures, and standards of care.
- Completes specialized CT scanning tasks and operates related equipment in accordance with prescribed radiation safety procedures, positioning patients using immobilization and protective equipment as necessary.
- Safely administers IV contrast using appropriate catheters/needles, pressure injectors, flushing agents, and sterile technique for specific vascular protocols.
- Assesses and monitors patients for allergic reactions to contrast material.
- Performs quality control (QC) procedures to ensure proper equipment function and image quality, and promptly troubleshoots and reports equipment issues, safety concerns, and malfunctions.
Qualifications
Education:
- Graduate from an approved Radiologic Technology Program.
License(s)/Certification(s):
- Registered as Radiologic Technologist with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) is required
- Registered as CT Technologist with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) is required
- Permit to Practice in the state that team member will be preforming Radiological Exams is required
Experience:
- Radiology experience in a hospital or clinic is preferred
