We’re seeking a Licensed Mental Health Professional to support student mental health in the Fort Dodge School District. In this school-based role, you’ll conduct psychosocial assessments, provide individual and group therapy using evidence-based practices, develop treatment plans, and respond to safety concerns. You’ll also collaborate with families, school staff, and community partners to help students thrive.

Responsibilities
- Processes referrals in a prompt, thorough manner.
- Interviews patients, families, and community agencies representatives to obtain a comprehensive mental health evaluation and makes appropriate treatment recommendations
- Responsible for providing individual, couple, family and group services to meet patient and their family/significant others’ social and emotional needs.
- Provides immediate intervention including supportive counseling to patient/family/significant other in dealing with impact of an emergency situation.
- Facilitate support groups for behavioral health as needed.
- Maintains effective communication/working relationships with co-workers, management, physicians and other professionals by communicating in an efficient, professional and courteous manner.
Qualifications
Education: Â Â Â Â Â Â Â
- Minimum of a Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field from an accredited school
Licensure:Â Â Â Â Â
- Licensed as an LMSW, LISW, LMFT, or PsyD in the State of Iowa
Experience: Â Â
- A minimum of two years previous counseling experience in Behavioral Health.
