Responsibilities
- Evaluates and treats physical therapy patients under physician orders in the outpatient and acute settings
- Develops treatment plans for all patients assigned to case load
- Maintains appropriate documentation in the patient’s medical record
- Ongoing commitment to reducing costs and improving productivity in the physical therapy department
- Maintains positive relationships with the health care team, patient and family
- Communicates effectively in writing and verbally with all appropriate members of the patient’s healthcare team
Qualifications
Education:Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â
Graduate of a Physical Therapist education program approved by The Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE), a successor organization of CAPTE, or an education program outside the United States determined to be substantially equivalent to physical therapist entry-level education in the United States by a credentials evaluation organization approved by the American Physical Therapy Association.Â
Passed an examination for Physical Therapists approved by the state in which physical therapy services are provided.
Licensure:Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â
- Physical therapy licensure in Iowa or eligible for licensure in Iowa
- Valid Drivers License
Experience:Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â
- Entry level/new graduate acceptable
