Overview

Shift:  Rotating shifts + every 3rd weekend

Responsibilities

  • Assesses and monitors patient needs across all age groups.
  • Develops, implements, and updates individualized care plans with the interdisciplinary team.
  • Provides nursing care in accordance with standards and care plans.
  • Coordinates discharge planning, education, and referrals.
  • Documents care accurately and communicates to ensure continuity of care.
  • Supports unit operations, professional activities, and resource utilization.
  • Maintains safety, follows policies, and promotes a positive patient experience.
  • Uses electronic systems for documentation and collaborates across departments.
  • Cross-trains and floats to Acute Care as needed.

Qualifications

Education:      

  • Bachelors of Science in Nursing preferred. 
  • Associate Degree or Diploma in Nursing required.

Licensure:      

  • Current RN Licensure in State of Iowa or applicable compact state. Must be licensed in state of residence

Experience: 

  • Must have inpatient pediatrics experience 

Certification/Courses:

  • CPR, PALS, NRP and 2 hour annual stroke education required.
