Your Role: Operations Specialist – Biological Manufacturing

As an Operations Specialist – Biological Manufacturing, you will support vaccine production operations by performing aseptic manufacturing activities in compliance with cGMP and safety standards. In this role, you will be responsible for advancing operational efficiency, equipment readiness, and product quality while supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing environment.

Your Responsibilities:


• Perform aseptic manufacturing activities including weighing, measuring, sampling, calculations, and batch record execution in compliance with cGMP standards
• Operate, monitor, troubleshoot, and support production equipment and electronic inventory management systems
• Perform in-process quality checks, environmental monitoring, and cleaning activities according to written procedures
• Support deviation reporting, SOP updates, training completion, and documentation activities using electronic systems
• Participate in LEAN and continuous improvement initiatives to improve manufacturing operations and workflow efficiency

What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications):


• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology or related field OR Associate’s degree plus 2 years of experience OR High School Diploma/GED plus 4 years of relevant experience
• Experience: Experience in manufacturing, biological production, pharmaceutical, or regulated production environments preferred
• Top 2 skills: Strong attention to detail and compliance mindset combined with ability to operate manufacturing equipment and follow batch production documentation

What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications):


• Experience working in cGMP or aseptic manufacturing environments
• Knowledge of biological production equipment such as fermentation, centrifuges, or concentration units
• Experience with ERP systems and electronic inventory management systems
• Experience writing SOPs, deviations, or supporting quality documentation
• Familiarity with LEAN manufacturing and continuous improvement practices
