CACI is seeking a Master HVAC Technician to support our program in support to our mission critical client at Fort Meade, MD. The selected candidate will perform inspections on HVAC systems and components to evaluate condition, identify necessary repairs and recommend or perform preventive maintenance. Responsibilities include tracking performance of routine and preventative maintenance, troubleshooting HVAC/R systems, responding to service calls and emergency situations, installing, repairing, and maintaining large commercial and industrial ventilation, refrigeration, air conditioning, and cooling systems. The role involves working with engineering personnel, performing design, modification, maintenance and repair of critical environmental and energy support systems and associated computerized controls and air quality monitoring systems within US-Only areas of Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM) Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIFs). The technician will provide advanced technical knowledge for unique security requirements, produce classified technical documentation, perform system diagnostics, and support worldwide deployments in strategic and tactical mobile facility environments. The position requires availability for nights and weekends schedule and the ability to lift up to 50lbs. Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree with three years of experience or equivalent education and experience with a valid Master HVAC license or equivalent military training, specific experience in fault isolation and resolution of tactical and strategic environmental systems, ability to plan, install, troubleshoot and repair equipment, 4 years’ experience with HVAC control and monitoring systems, experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS), expert level experience in design and sustainment of computer controlled environmental systems, possession of North American Technician Excellence (NATE) certification, US Citizenship with active TS/SCI clearance, and willingness to work nights and weekends. Active TS/SCI is strongly preferred but sponsorship is available.
