Holy Cross Medical Group is seeking a full-time APRN / Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our expanding Gastroenterology team in Fort Lauderdale, FL.路 Join an established, cohesive group of 6 physicians and 3 advanced practitioners that helps to provide care for GI and liver conditions for both inpatients and outpatients on one convenient campus. The practice is busy but always remains focused on quality and compassionate care and performs a full range of endoscopic procedures and cancer screening, diagnostic testing, and therapeutic interventions.

路 Inpatient & Outpatient patient care responsibilities, seeing office patients in a standard聽daytime聽Monday-Friday schedule (8a-5p).聽

路 The preferred candidate should be an experienced and licensed Advanced Practice Nurse or Physician Assistant. Recent graduates with interest in digestive diseases will also be considered.聽

Key Responsibilities:聽
Conduct comprehensive聽assessments including history, physical examinations, interpretation聽of diagnostic studies.聽
Manage chronic conditions聽聽
Evaluate and triage new patient referrals and follow-up visits.聽聽
Order and interpret laboratory studies, diagnostic testing聽聽
Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans with collaborating physicians聽
Provide patient education on disease prevention, lifestyle modifications, and medication management聽
Assist聽with hospital rounding, consults, and discharge planning (if applicable)聽
Participate in care coordination with other providers and specialties.聽聽
Document all patient encounters thoroughly and accurately in the Electronic Medical Record聽聽
Maintain compliance with organizational policies, regulatory guidelines, and best practice standards.聽聽
Qualifications:聽
Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Program聽
National Advanced Practice Registered Nurse Certification (APRN) OR national board certification as a Physician Assistant.聽
聽
Current Physician Assistant or APRN license in the State of Florida.聽聽
聽
BLS/ACLS聽
聽
Preferred Skills:聽
2+ years of聽clinical experience with an interest in gastrointestinal diseases聽
Experience with Epic Electronic Medical Record聽
