SUMMARY 

The main role of Customer Service is the face of the company.  Customer Service Representatives assist customers with placing orders, responding to questions and resolving issues.  Customer Service Representatives ensure that our customers have a positive experience when they engage with our company.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


•    Respond to questions received by customers from various marketplaces, websites, phone, emails or voicemail

•    Responsible for managing the cancellation of orders

•    Process all pending orders by identifying issues with orders placed (ex; payment issues, back order, incomplete or incorrect address, etc.).

•    Address backorders by notifying customers and vendors of items that will take additional time to be shipped.  

•    Work closely with the Purchasing, Accounting and Warehouse departments on any issues that arise within the daily work

•    Process subscriptions and payments

•    Contact customers for purpose of collecting any open balances

•    Process all returns and review the returned products received

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.


QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE 

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

Two-three years of related e-commerce experience preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS 

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write simple correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.


MATHEMATICAL SKILLS 

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, percentages and to create as well as interpret bar graphs and pie charts. 


REASONING ABILITY 

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
