Position Overview

Ark Resource Group is currently seeking Field Technicians to support environmental and vegetation management projects across South Florida, primarily within Broward County.

This role involves physically demanding outdoor work in a team-based environment. No prior experience is required—training will be provided for motivated candidates.

Schedule

  • Monday – Thursday: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
  • 30-minute lunch break
  • Must be available to work Fridays if weather delays occur during the week

Work Location


Job sites vary weekly and may range from Broward to North Miami.
Reliable transportation is required.


Key Responsibilities

  • Remove invasive plants, trees, shrubs, vines, and brush using hand tools (including machetes) and equipment
  • Apply herbicides using backpack sprayers and other application systems
  • Work in teams to identify and remove non-native vegetation
  • Perform work in wooded areas, open land, wetlands, and swamp environments


Requirements

Physical Requirements

Candidates must be able to:

  • Stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday
  • Carry and wear a 4-gallon backpack sprayer for long durations
  • Work in dense vegetation, uneven terrain, and wet environments
  • Occasionally work in water ranging from ankle to thigh deep
  • Tolerate outdoor conditions including heat, humidity, and insects

Work Environment

While performing duties, employees may encounter:

  • Bees, wasps, snakes, alligators, and other wildlife
  • Mosquitoes and other insects

Qualifications

  • Reliable transportation to and from varying job sites
  • Willingness to travel within South Florida
  • Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor labor
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
  • Ability to follow safety procedures and team instructions
  • Must pass a post-offer background check
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States

Training

On-the-job training is provided for candidates who demonstrate motivation and a willingness to learn.
