Job Description:

An HR Benefits Intern supports the Human Resources Department, specifically focusing on employee benefits administration, wellness initiatives, and data management. Typical duties include assisting with open enrollment, updating employee benefits data in HRIS systems, resolving employee inquiries, auditing benefits invoices, and supporting onboarding processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Benefits Administration: Assist with benefits enrollment, invoice reconciliation, and insurance auditing.
  • Data Management: Update employee records, payroll information, and benefits databases (HRIS/ATS).
  • Employee Support: Act as the first point of contact for routine employee queries regarding vacation days, benefits coverage, and policies.
  • Onboarding/Offboarding: Assist with new-hire orientation, benefits training, and termination paperwork processing.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Education: Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
  • Technology: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and familiarity with HR Information Systems.
  • Skills: High attention to detail, strong verbal/written communication, and excellent organizational skills.
  • Confidentiality: Ability to handle sensitive personnel information with discretion.
