Job Summary

We're looking for a Senior Buyer to lead strategic purchasing activities that ensure the timely availability of materials and services while delivering the best total value to the business. This role drives supplier performance, cost savings, and supply chain efficiency while partnering closely with Operations, Planning, Quality, Finance, and Global Sourcing teams to support business objectives and customer commitments.

Location: Fort Lauderdale, FL

Schedule: Onsite, standard business hours

 

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Manage supplier relationships and performance.
  • Source, negotiate, and procure materials and services.
  • Issue and manage purchase orders.
  • Drive cost savings and productivity initiatives.
  • Support supplier RFQs and sourcing activities.
  • Maintain shortage reports and planning parameters.
  • Monitor supplier lead times and supply risks.
  • Resolve supplier performance and delivery issues.
  • Support USM sourcing across Chromalloy sites.
  • Partner with Operations, Planning, Quality, and Finance.
  • Lead procurement reporting, metrics, and analysis.
  • Support special projects and functional meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with purchasing, quality, and ethical standards

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
  • 8+ years of purchasing, sourcing, or supply chain experience.
  • Strong supplier negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Knowledge of inventory control, material planning, and procurement processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel.
  • Strong communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively across functions in a manufacturing or aerospace environment

 

Nice to Have

  • Aerospace, aviation, MRO, airline, or leasing industry experience.
  • Experience with Quantum Control or similar ERP systems.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and macros.
  • Knowledge of Used Serviceable Material (USM) sourcing.
  • Familiarity with PW4000, CF6-80C2, CFM56-5/7, or V2500 engine platforms.
  • Experience leading strategic sourcing and cost reduction initiatives.
  • Understanding of supplier risk management and supply chain compliance.

 

 

This position may require work hours outside of the regularly scheduled hours to meet operational needs. This may include work during evenings, weekends, and/or holidays. Additional work hours are assigned based on business requirements. Non-exempt employees will be paid overtime in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.

The salary range for this position reflects a broad spectrum of experience levels. Individual compensation within the range is determined by multiple factors, including relevant experience, education, certifications, job related skills, internal equity, and market conditions. We evaluate each candidate individually to ensure fair and competitive pay decisions.
