Job Summary
Fabrication Solutions. LLC. is a highly skilled, small custom metal fabrication company located in Oakland Park, Florida. We are currently seeking a welding production assistant/ "Shop Hand" to join our team! In this role, you will assist the fabricator/welder in moving material, cutting, pre and post material preparation in the fabrication process of the product. You must be able to adhere to a strict production schedule while always prioritizing safety.
Responsibilities
- Accurately understand a tape measure.
- Adhere to a strict production schedule.
- Look over products after production to ensure consistency and quality.
- Time management and communication
- Proper handling of all material raw and finished.
- Strong organization skills within the workplace and on job site.
- Prepping and surface conditioning of material(s)
- Precision cutting of steel, stainless steel and aluminum with specialize equipment (band saw, shear, torch).
- Ability to utilize and operate machinery such as a forklift.
- Must be able to lift 80+ lbs.
- Must clear a level II background check
- Must be an able to pass a drug test at random.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in the construction/manufacturing field is a plus but not required.
- Experience operating heavy machinery.
- Excellent manual dexterity and vision
- Highly detail-oriented with accuracy
- Strong Communication Skills.
- Creative problem solving.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Safety awareness
- Must be able to work in extreme conditions
