About the Role:
Join Synteen Technical Fabrics, a Maccaferri Company, as a Creeler in Fort Lawn, SC! This exciting role offers the opportunity to work with innovative fabric technologies in a dynamic environment.

Position Summary

The Creeler is responsible for supplying and maintaining yarn, thread, or fiber packages on creel racks to ensure uninterrupted production operations. This role supports manufacturing efficiency by monitoring material supply, replacing depleted packages, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Load, unload, and replace yarn, thread, or fiber packages on creel racks according to production requirements.
  • Monitor material levels and promptly replenish supplies to prevent production downtime.
  • Thread and tie yarns as needed to maintain continuous machine operation.
  • Inspect materials for defects, damage, or inconsistencies and report issues to the appropriate supervisor.
  • Remove empty cones, tubes, or packages and properly dispose of or recycle materials.
  • Maintain accurate production and material records as required.
  • Assist machine operators and production personnel during changeovers and troubleshooting activities.
  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards.
  • Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and quality standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Work Schedule

This position operates on a rotating three-shift schedule consisting of 8-hour shifts:

  • First Shift: 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
  • Second Shift: 4:00 p.m. – 12:00 a.m.
  • Third Shift: 12:00 a.m. – 8:00 a.m.
Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous manufacturing or textile experience preferred but not required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.
Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, and lifting.
  • Ability to lift up to 35–50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures and noise levels.
  • Ability to safely operate material handling equipment, if required.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or textile environment is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Basic mechanical skills for equipment maintenance.
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude.
