USP Management, Inc. is a Fort Lee-based importer and distributor of flat-rolled steel with more than 30 years of nationwide customer service, international supplier relationships, and logistics and inventory expertise.
USP seeks a bilingual Korean-English senior operating executive to lead day-to-day operations, department heads, and disciplined execution. Reporting to the President and working closely with the Chairman, the COO will translate ownership priorities into clear plans, accountability, and results.
What You Will Lead
- Own day-to-day operations and serve as the primary decision point for cross-functional operating matters within delegated authority.
- Lead and develop department heads; clarify objectives, accountability, decision rights, and follow-through across multiple functions.
- Translate strategy into operating plans, budgets, KPIs, milestones, and measurable results.
- Coordinate inventory, supply chain, logistics, processing, customer service, finance, working capital, risk, and compliance.
- Improve systems, reporting, internal controls, and management cadence; move stalled initiatives to resolution.
- Partner with sales leadership and represent USP with suppliers, processors, customers, and advisors.
Essential Qualifications
- Professional Korean-English business fluency.
- Senior operating leadership with P&L, budget, working-capital, and results accountability (COO, President, GM, VP Operations, or comparable role).
- Demonstrated experience leading multiple departments or functions and their leaders.
- Sound independent judgment, collaborative leadership, and the ability to work effectively with ownership.
Preferred Background
Experience in import, distribution, trading, manufacturing, logistics, or another inventory-intensive business. Steel/metals, ERP, M&A, overseas-supplier, or privately held/family-business experience is helpful, but not required.
Employment Details
- Work Arrangement: Primarily on-site in Fort Lee, NJ, with periodic travel and additional availability as business needs require.
- Compensation: Base salary of $150,000-$350,000, based on experience and fit, plus eligibility for a discretionary annual bonus.
