POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Under the direction of the Food & Beverage Manager, the Casino Bartender is responsible for beverage execution at the highest level in the We-ko-pa. This includes executing specialty cocktails and themed beverages including beer, wine, and spirits. In addition, the bartender always maintains a clean and organized bar. The casino bartender will be responsible for food and beverage service for patrons sitting at the bar and in the lounge. The casino bartender must be highly skilled in cocktail execution and be fully knowledgeable of all cocktails, spirits, beer, and wine offerings of the specialty restaurant. The casino bartender must be able to perform duties in all casino and resort outlets as designated by business demands. Will maintain the highest level of service standards at all times to provide the best dining experience in the area. ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Provides exceptional guest service to both external and internal guests by maintaining and exhibiting the Casino Resort We-Ko-Pa Way Service Standards:Ā Smile and Greet,Ā Name and Meet,Ā Thank you and Goodbye.
  • Accountable to all standards outlined in the We-Ko-Pa Way Casino Resort service guide.
  • Will be responsible for executing specialty cocktails for the restaurant and bar daily.
  • Will execute all opening and closing side work, including preparing and or ordering all bar garnishes, freshly squeezed juices, bar supplies, mixers, and all other requirements based on restaurant brand standards.
  • Will assist in cocktail development, beer and wine program, and upselling standards.
  • Will assist the Sommelier and Assistant General Manager to maintain efficiency, accuracy, and printing requirements of all Fine Dining wine lists, and bar lists for all venues.Ā 
  • Maintaining the bar’s cleanliness, bar coolers, and counter with a dedication to deep cleaning and front-of-house sanitation.
  • Must ensure consistency in the quality of all cocktails, wine, and beer for all guest orders.
  • Must assist in maintaining daily inventory and maintain accurate on-hand product and ingredients for all beer, wine, spirits, and cocktail lists.
  • Must be fully knowledgeable of all restaurant menus, ingredients, allergens, and presentations.
  • Must maintain a unique and cutting-edge inventory of liquor, wine, and spirits.
  • Will assist in creating cocktail recipe image books and brand bar standards.
  • Addresses all food, beverage, or service-related guest issues and utilizes creativity and resources available to maintain optimum satisfaction.
  • Works on the floor 80% of the time with a ā€œhands-onā€ mentality for guest service.
  • Must be knowledgeable of all health department standards.
  • Must receive and have a current Food Handler Card at all times.
  • Must complete the Management Title IV training through Human Resources.
  • Must complete and maintain DRAM certification or another state-recognized training institution for alcohol safety.
  • Must complete and follow all restaurant-specific training and SOPs
  • Assists in banquet and catering events for the department.
  • Assists in ensuring restaurant menus are accurate and free of debris.Ā 
  • Performs other related duties as required by the department.
  • Follows all health and safety guidelines to ensure 100% compliance.
  • Must be able to lift more than 50 pounds and push or pull 100.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain State/Tribal License (including extensive background check).
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to:
  • Bend, reach, stand, and walk for 34-66% of the workday.
  • Eye/hand coordination for 34-66% of the workday.
  • Exposed to hot/cold temperatures for 34-66% of the workday.
  • Exposed to dust for 1-33% of the workday.
  • Sit for 1-33% of the workday.
  • While working on the casino floor, the employee is exposed to high levels of noise daily.


EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma/GED Preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of related experience in hospitality required.Ā 
  • Bartending experience is required.


INDIAN PREFERENCE:

Preference will be given to qualified applicants who are members of federally recognized Indian tribes. To be considered for Indian Preference, you must submit your Certificate of Indian Blood (CIB) with your application.
