JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Facilities Maintenance Plumber is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems and fixtures in a variety of facilities. This role ensures that all plumbing systems operate efficiently and in compliance with local and national regulations. The plumber will work on systems such as water supply lines, drainage, heating systems, and more.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, water heaters, and valves.
  • Identify and troubleshoot plumbing issues, making necessary repairs or replacements.
  • Work on various plumbing systems, including hot and cold water supply, sanitary drainage, and venting systems.
  • Conduct regular inspections of plumbing systems to identify potential issues.
  • Perform preventative maintenance to ensure the longevity and efficiency of plumbing systems.
  • Ensure all work is performed in compliance with tribal, local, state, and federal plumbing codes.
  • Adhere to all safety standards and protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, including maintenance logs, repair reports, and equipment inventories.
  • Provide detailed reports on the condition of plumbing systems and recommend necessary improvements.
  • Work closely with other maintenance staff, engineers, and external contractors to coordinate projects and repairs.
  • Assist in planning and executing plumbing projects, including estimating materials and time requirements.
  • Experience with various plumbing systems, including commercial.
  • Strong knowledge of plumbing codes and regulations.
  • Proficient in using plumbing tools and equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and materials.
  • Comfortable working in confined spaces and at various heights.
  • Ability to work in varying environmental conditions, including extreme temperatures and humidity.
  • Full-time position with the possibility of overtime, weekends, and on-call work as required.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test.
  • Must be able to obtain/maintain a State/Tribal Gaming License.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must have a valid Arizona driver’s license and be cleared by the gaming center's insurance carrier to drive company vehicles.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in plumbing, particularly in a facilities maintenance environment.

Preference will be given to qualified applicants who are members of federally recognized Indian tribes.   To be considered for Indian Preference, you must submit your Certificate of Indian Blood (CIB) with your application.
