Regular Full-Time, FLSA NON-EXEMPT

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Works under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor in the repair and maintenance of the building during his/her assigned shift. Must be able to perform general repairs in the areas of carpentry, cabinetry, plumbing, and cosmetic painting repair.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Must use proper tools and exercise good safety practices.

Must have a valid Arizona driver’s license and be cleared by the gaming center’s insurance carrier to drive company vehicles.

Must be knowledgeable in the repairs of various types of equipment.

Must be able to work with minimum supervision.

Under the direction of the carpenter must be able to perform carpentry duties and fabrication/installation of cabinetry.

Must have knowledge/experience in patching, plumbing, painting, and maintenance of designated equipment.

Must be able to operate a forklift.

Will assist in maintenance projects at various other tribal enterprises as directed.

Performs other duties as required.

Required to attend scheduled safety meetings.

Must be able to work in a casino environment.

Must be able to perform active physical labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs.

Must pass a pre-employment drug test.

Must be able to obtain/maintain a State/Tribal Gaming License.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Minimum 1 year of maintenance experience required.

 

INDIAN PREFERENCE:

Preference will be given to qualified applicants who are members of federally recognized Indian tribes.   To be considered for Indian Preference, you must submit your Certificate of Indian Blood (CIB) with your application.
