Goodwill Industries of the Chesapeake (GIC) is hiring a Project Manager to oversee an AbilityOne custodial contract at Fort Meade. This role provides hands‑on leadership across multi‑site custodial operations while supporting meaningful employment for individuals with severe disabilities.

This position is ideal for an experienced custodial or facilities leader with government contract experience, strong people‑management skills, and a commitment to quality and compliance.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage daily operations of an AbilityOne custodial contract, ensuring all performance standards and Scope of Work requirements are met
  • Supervise custodial supervisors, crew leaders, and mobile work crews across multiple facilities
  • Oversee scheduling, staffing coverage, and services to meet contract demands
  • Lead quality control efforts to ensure customer satisfaction and compliance
  • Manage operating budgets, approve invoices, and oversee purchasing and inventory
  • Ensure 75% of the workforce consists of individuals with severe disabilities, supporting recruitment and retention strategies
  • Foster a supportive, inclusive work environment while developing supervisor leadership skills
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, safety, loss prevention, and organizational policies
  • Coordinate transportation, vehicle use, and preventive maintenance for vehicles and custodial equipment
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer communication and reporting

What We’re Looking For

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred
  • 5+ years of supervisory custodial experience in a large department, contract, or project environment
  • 5+ years of project or contract management experience preferred
  • Prior experience working with individuals with severe disabilities required
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to meet Maryland insurance requirements
