Position Summary:Â
- The CSA is primarily responsible for communication and front and back-end processing of various types of cases to include (FOIA/PA, Resume/Prepub and Export Control). Â
- CPC is primary responsible for the front-end processing of Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), Privacy Act (PA), Mandatory Declassification Review (MDR) Requests, Appeals, and other Requests that involve declassification actions – EEO, Administrative Actions, Incident Reports, Litigation Cases, External Referrals, Foreign Relations of the United State {FRUS} and other cases.  Â
- Intake is primarily responsible for front and back-end processing of Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), Privacy Act (PA) requests. Â

Essential Duties:Â
- Answer incoming calls on the main lines for both internal and external phones.Â
- Provide processing status updates.Â
- Process incoming requests in the system of record provided. Â
- Monitor and respond to email requests. Â
- Process and track outgoing unclassified, classified, and restricted mail daily.Â
- Perform administrative duties to include copying, faxing, transferring, and scanning of documents. Â
- Receive export license requests from the Department of State (DOS) and assign a tracking number based on one-up listing. Â

- Review the application and assign cases to P14 Government Licensing Officers (LO) based on his/her area of expertise. Â
- Review the Dual Use Cases assign to P14 Dual Use Que and then staff for appropriate dual-use cases to CEC (P414) representatives. Â
- Review TPT cases from various email systems and assign them to appropriate LO. Transfer documents through various systems. Â
- Monitor/ Process Streamlined License alias for draft ITAR License packages (NIPR)Â
- Maintain license files/ folders. Close out documents as required. Â
- Process information in the Export Control Management System (ECMS).Â
- Create memos and provide drafts to the appropriate P14 LO for input. Send the final and signed memo to the requesting organization. Â
- Track, International Traffic and Arms Regulation (ITAR) exception packages, export license applications and export license issues when warranted. Â
- Execute data transfer as needed.Â
- Author, review, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Â
- Track metrics of cases opened, in progress, completed. Â
- Ensure that new Requests are entered into the Automated Document Review System using the Software interface, that a new Case number Is generated, and that all correspondence and documents associated with each Case be properly Scanned and indexed. Â
- In addition, CPC members are responsible for checking the unclassified Computer and the unclassified fax Terminal (Housed in the CPC spaces) daily for new Requests, Appeals letters, or follow-on correspondence associated with existing Cases. Â
- The CPC also serves as the delivery and transmittal center for all government Executive Order (E.O.) Referrals to other U.S. government agencies, and for client responses to MDR, FRUS, and other Special Topic Cases. Â
- Other responsibilities include interaction with the government and contract program manager on all issues affecting the proper functioning of the CPC and providing weekly statistical reports on activities completed. Â
- Write formal responses to FOIA and PA requesters for Government review and approval. Â
- Perform Government processing system database searches for responsive documents to FOIA and PA requests.Â
- Create tasking memos to NSA organizations for FOIA and PA searches and provide instructions to those organizations on the criteria for the search for government review and approval.Â
- Track outstanding actions and send reminders as necessary to NSA organizations.Â
- Perform case updates in the Government processing system.Â
- Ensure during the record review process that any equities falling under purview of external Government agencies (i.e. non-NSA) be marked for referral or consultation.Â
- Other responsibilities include interaction with the government and contract program manager on all issues affecting the proper functioning of the CPC and providing weekly statistical reports on activities completed.  Â
- Enter metadata into the Government processing system to facilitate the recall of the documents in support of future research. Â
- Maintain a professional and courteous relationship with customers and coworkers.Â
- Be proactive in meeting expected goals and resolving problems.Â

Qualifications:Â
- 0-2 years performing the duties of the position: Level AÂ

- Ability to lift 25 pounds. Max 75 pounds. Â
- Strong written and oral communications skills.Â
- Ability to read, analyze, and develop a working understanding of federal records, including highly technical or specialized records.Â
- Ability to work well individually and as a team.Â
- Computer literacy, including familiarity with Microsoft Windows operating systems and standard Microsoft Office applications, and the ability to learn new database and tasking applications.Â
- High School DiplomaÂ
- Attention to detail is also mandatory for this position. Â
