Job Summary
- Seeking a Cryptologic Computer Scientist to support a Natural Language Processing project focused on accurately and automatically tokenizing language data originating from both spoken and written sources
- The successful candidate will develop automated language-annotation capabilities and evaluate model performance against human-generated annotations
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop NLP solutions for spoken and written language data
- Design and improve automated tokenization capabilities
- Develop automated methods for annotating language data with parts-of-speech information
- Process and analyze speech- and text-based datasets
- Evaluate model performance against human-generated annotations
- Develop quantitative approaches for scoring NLP model accuracy and performance
- Identify model deficiencies and recommend improvements
- Collaborate with linguists, data scientists, engineers, and mission stakeholders
Required Qualifications
- Must have active Top Secret/SCI clearance with NSA Full Scope Polygraph
- Bachelor’s Degree with 3 years of relevant experience, Associate's degree with 5 years of experience may be considered for individuals with in-depth experience that is clearly related to the position
- Data science experience
- Experience with Natural Language Processing
- Experience developing automated solutions for language-data processing
- Familiarity with tokenization and language annotation
- Ability to evaluate and score model performance
- Experience working with spoken and/or written language datasets
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with part-of-speech tagging
- Computational linguistics experience
- Experience benchmarking machine-generated language annotations against human-generated annotations
Exempt hourly position. 11 paid holidays, minimum of 3 weeks PTO, company sponsored group medical plan, company paid dental, vision, life insurance, and STD/LTD plans. Salary is dependent upon the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
