SUMMARY

The Senior Cybersecurity Analyst serves as an IA/Cybersecurity Subject Matter Expert (SME) concerningA&A activities and all associated IA policies and procedures.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

The ability to obtain, maintain and access classified information at the Top Secret/SCI level, which requires U.S. Citizenship.

DoD 8570 IAM/IA Technical (IAT) Level II certification

Excellent written and verbal communication for technical documentation and stakeholder engagement

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Demonstrates fully versed in the general tenets supporting the overall DOD implementation of its A&A process, to include supporting IA policy, procedures and processes.

Performs all IAA&A process while either certifying an information system or serving as a SME for an information system undergoing certification/authorization.

Determines the applicable severity category for an identified vulnerability (e.g., non-compliant IA Control), and determines the possible ramifications on the system’s current or future accreditation.

Required to brief senior management on the progress or results of an information system undergoing the A&A process.

Processes connection approval packages, workflow, and connection approval package quality assurance, and cybersecurity analysis IAW established DoD policies and Connection Approval Branch SOPs. 

Resolves customer issues, workflow quality assurance and cybersecurity analysis efforts; resolves production-related problems as it relates to Connection Approval Process (CAP) processing and applicable SOP updates, not to exceed five documents monthly.

Provides IA technical and engineering support for the compliance analysis and connection approval requirements IAW Federal and DoD cybersecurity policy.

Answers inquiries and supports mission partners with registering and submitting their connection approval packages.

Provides assistance with data content management of CAO databases by detecting and correcting (or removing) corrupt or inaccurate records from a record set or database.

Provides Quality Assurance activity which includes:  management of organizational mailboxes; assigning NIPR/SIPR/VPN/Non-DISN connections/Cloud Mission Owner Information Technology Process (CITP) connection packages correspondence; and collecting mission partner metrics using Government furnished information systems (e.g., SNAP and SIPRNET GIAP System (SGS)), websites repository and updates.

Specialized knowledge and advanced skills in the tools, concepts, practices and procedures of security incident management, threat intelligence and continuous monitoring.

Knowledgeable of security-related processes with respect to Federal risk and compliance regulations best practices.

Ability to read, analyze, develop and interpret common information systems security documents.

Expert computer skills with advanced proficiency in a Windows and Linux based computer environment.

Excellent critical thinking skills with ability to identify, analyze and resolve problems/complex issues.

Excellent verbal and written communications skills with ability to prepare quality reports and effectively communicate / interact with a wide variety of technical and non-technical audiences (i.e., customers, team members, management and federal staff).

Exceptional customer service skills with ability to respond to requests in a professional, helpful and timely manner.

Highly organized with ability to effectively manage multiple projects and priorities.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to learn and apply new knowledge and techniques related to incident response and continuous monitoring capabilities.

Ability to effectively work both independently and in a team environment for the successful achievement of goals.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE 

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field and a minimum of five (5) years’ relevant experience. Five (5) years of experience with eMASS required.

The estimated pay range for this role is $105K to $115K, with the final offer contingent on location, skillset, and experience.
