OVERVIEW
Ā Under limited supervision, the Food & Beverage Lead supports the daily operations of Snack Bar services while providing guidance to team members and ensuring a high standard of service, quality, and safety. This role actively participates in food preparation and service while assisting with inventory management, staff training, ordering, and scheduling to support efficient and effective operations.

KEY FUNCTIONS

  • Ensures compliance with all policies, procedures and regulations pertaining to food and beverage safety and with kitchen equipment/tools
  • Assist with inventory tracking, restocking, and proper storage of food and beverage items and suppliesĀ 
  • Monitors inventory levels and communicates needs to leadership to ensure adequate stock
  • Supports food and supply ordering to maintain operational efficiency and minimize shortages
  • Provides day-to-day guidance and support to Food & Beverage Attendant team to ensure smooth operations
  • Assists with onboarding and training of new team members, reinforcing service standards and safety practices
  • Assists with employee scheduling to ensure appropriate coverage based on business needs
  • Communicates staffing needs and operational updates with supervisors
  • Prepares, cooks and serves food and beverages in a timely and high-quality manner
  • Provides excellent customer service and assists in resolving guest concerns in a professional and timely manner
  • Participates in maintaining clean dining and service areas, including dishwashing and equipment sanitation
  • Ensures team adherence to cleanliness, organization, and safety standards at all times
  • Takes proactive measures to reduce food waste
  • Efficiently operates point of sale system
  • Operates a variety of kitchen/serving utensils and supplies while exercising care and safety in the use of all equipmentĀ 
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Knowledgeable of DHEC, ServSafe and SC laws and regulationsĀ 
  • Able to work a variety of shifts including weekends, evenings, and holidays

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and POS

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Requires high school diploma or GED equivalent supplemented by one to two years of food and beverage experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.Ā 
  • ServSafe Food Handler Certification; will train
  • ServSafe Alcohol Certification: will train
  • Current CPR, First Aid, AED certifications and Child Abuse prevention training; will train
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Must be 21 years of age or older to prepare, serve, and sell alcohol

REPORTING TO THIS POSITION
No supervisory responsibilitiesĀ 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be physically able to operate a variety of kitchen appliances, equipment and utensils, etc. Must be able to exert up to ten pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Physical demands are in excess of those for sedentary work; must be able to remain on feet for extended periods of time, stoop, kneel, push, pull, and lift/carry weights of up to twenty-five pounds and must be able to ascend and descend stairs.
