Description


The Production Supervisor oversees daily manufacturing operations to ensure production goals are met safely, efficiently, and in accordance with quality standards. This position is responsible for leading and motivating production teams, coordinating workflow, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.


  

Responsibilities:

· Supervise and coordinate the activities of production employees on assigned shifts.

· Plan, organize, and monitor production schedules to meet customer and internal deadlines.

· Ensure compliance with company safety policies and OSHA regulations.

· Monitor quality standards and work with Quality Assurance to correct defects or process deviations.

· Train, coach, and develop team members to improve performance and engagement.

· Track and report production metrics, including output, downtime, and scrap rates.

· Maintain accurate records of attendance, timekeeping, and production documentation.

· Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to minimize equipment downtime.

· Identify process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste.

· Enforce company policies and procedures, including disciplinary action when necessary.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, Industrial Technology, or related field preferred.  


5–7 years of manufacturing or production experience, with at least 2–4 years in a supervisory or lead role.


Preferred Qualifications:

· Strong leadership and communication skills.

· Working knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles.

· Ability to read production drawings, specifications, and schedules.

· Proficiency in MS Office and ERP/manufacturing systems.

· Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
