Job DetailsJob Location: Superior Scale - Fort Mill, SC 29716Position Type: Full TimeSalary Range: $24.00 - $26.00 HourlyJob Category: Installation - Maint - RepairEssential Job Functions:  Able to recognize safety hazards related to specific jobs and tasks and to proactively plan to remove or successfully mitigate risks in support of CIS and Customer Safety requirements.    Successfully obtain Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) within six months of date of hire to support hiring requirements; actively support all CDL maintenance requirements; drive safely, and obey all DOT guidelines at all times  Answer the bell – always be on-time, ready to serve, and always demonstrate the highest level of professionalism; Proactively plan for every service order and request.  Support all workflow and Service Order (SO) data management requirements for CIS.  This includes the use of all company provided tools, applications, and resources to manage the entire lifecycle of a SO and includes calibration details, asset information, time keeping, service notes, customer signatures, and all other related details.  Ensure that all data is complete and correct at all times.  Performs calibrations and preventative maintenance duties on industrial scales and other weighing equipment; ensure all regulatory and quality requirements are supported (ex. Carlton Scale Industrial Standards, Customer-specified Standards, HB44, etc.)  Actively listen to customer feedback and information to align on expectations and what will be required for success; leverage your Manager for support on situations that may not be clear  Ensure clear communication at all times; avoid surprises and ensure customers understand service action plans, especially if work will be required to span multiple trips or time periods  Diagnose and troubleshoot customer equipment; ensure connections and integration points with other equipment are defined and whether or not we may need other support to understand root causes of issues (ex. Third party PLC controllers, other production equipment, material handling systems, etc.)  Support all equipment installation efforts, individually, and as part of a team  Ensure all customer service level agreements are achieved to support expectations  Ability to work overtime and on a rotating on-call schedule including nights and weekends based on customer demand  Proactively discuss risks with customers and how they may provide opportunities to upgrade existing equipment or to improve service agreements for improved performance  Explore conversations with customers who are interested in modernizing and upgrading their equipment; leverage CIS Lead Management tool for efficient communication  Develop and maintain strong collaborative relationships with customers and CIS sales teams to create long-lasting customer relationships and to proactively add value to our customers  Solicit referrals for new customers and direct this information to sales and service teams  Maintain all inventory and tools in accordance with company policies and procedures  QualificationsQualifications  High School diploma required; Associates or higher degree in electronics, industrial maintenance, or related field work or experience is preferred  Experience in the weighing or metrology industry is also preferred  Must pass drug and background checks to support all CIS & customer requirements  Fully capable of reading, writing, speaking, and understanding the English language  Fully capable of calculating capacity, division size, and understanding tolerances to perform required customer calibrations; the ability to convert measurements is required  Able to read digital and analog indicated meters and weighing devices  Must have good mechanical aptitude and knowledge of electrical theory  Capable and comfortable working in new locations, with new people, every day  Experience troubleshooting and diagnosing electrical, mechanical, and electromechanical devices is essential; this role will work with technology that is rapidly evolving  Experience with new equipment installations is required  Experience working on construction sites is highly preferred (being around heavy and related equipment)  Experience with safe lifting and rigging practices is highly preferred  Experienced and comfortable working with primary modes of digital communication, data management, and documentation tools (MS Office, ERP & CRM systems, and work order and service dispatch systems)  Self-starter capable of working independently with little or no direct supervision; equally capable and effective working in teams and groups  Able to clearly document all aspects of service required and performed  Able to communicate clearly and concisely with CIS customers and associates  Will be required to operate fork truck  Physical Requirements  Ability to travel across the Mid-Atlantic (and across Carlton’s growing footprint) 25% of the time; travel may be higher or lower based on business need  Able to frequently lift heavy objects, which may include:  50 lb. test weights and other equipment, up to 100lbs when supporting a team lift  Push/Pull ten (50) lb. test weights on cart   Lifting 50 lb. test weights from floor to waist, waist to shoulder and shoulder to overhead as job assignment dictates  Repetitive lifting of 50 lb. test weights from vehicle to weight cart and weight cart to customer equipment  May include lifting heavy objects while climbing, bending, stooping, reaching, etc.   May be required to wear respirator or various other PPE on required jobs  Able to perform the essential job functions at elevations, in confined, cold, wet, hot, humid, or unsanitary conditions as well as a combination of these.  Able to efficiently use all types of hand tools, power tools and hydraulic controlled devices; must provide own basic hand tools  Must have good verbal/written communication skills and understand basic math skills including converting measurements.   Able to read digital and analog indicated meters and weighing devices  Must maintain valid drivers license and be able to drive company vehicles extended hours with few breaks up to eight hours a day and more if overtime is required  Able to communicate with customers and employees in a clear and concise manner  Other Duties:  Other duties may be assigned by the Manager as needed to meet business demands.
