Accounts Payable Specialist
Fort Myers Broadcasting Company is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. This role supports our Radio, TV, and Magazine properties by managing the full accounts payable cycle, including processing a high volume of invoices, vendor relations, and financial reporting tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform full-cycle accounts payable, including verifying, coding, and processing a high volume of invoices.
  • Maintain accurate records of payments and monitor invoice aging to ensure timely payments.
  • Manage and maintain positive vendor and supplier relationships.
  • Reconcile credit card transactions and process expense reports.
  • Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger.
  • Track and manage contractual obligations for compliance and payment scheduling.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Address internal and external inquiries regarding accounts payable matters.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and full-cycle accounts payable processes.
  • Proficiency with accounting software and MS Excel.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Must be able to collaborate effectively with colleagues across departments and levels of management.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in media, broadcasting, or a related industry.
  • Familiarity with contract management and tracking.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer
  • Ability to use standard office equipment, including computers and phones
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds
