Electrician – Fort Myers, FL

We are seeking an experienced Electrician to join our team in the Fort Myers area. This position is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial environments.

The ideal candidate has strong electrical knowledge, understands applicable codes and safety requirements, and takes pride in completing quality work safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Install electrical wiring, fixtures, outlets, switches, panels, and equipment according to blueprints and applicable codes.

  • Inspect, test, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair electrical systems and components.

  • Diagnose electrical problems and determine appropriate repair solutions.

  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical diagrams, and project specifications.

  • Ensure all work complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC), local requirements, and company safety standards.

  • Coordinate with supervisors, contractors, and other construction professionals.

  • Maintain accurate records of installations, inspections, maintenance, and repairs.

  • Communicate professionally with customers and address questions regarding electrical work.

  • Properly use and maintain tools, equipment, and required personal protective equipment.

  • Follow all company policies and complete additional duties assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • Completion of an electrical apprenticeship program, vocational program, or equivalent electrical training.

  • Journeyman or Master Electrician certification or license, as required by the applicable jurisdiction.

  • Previous experience installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems.

  • Strong knowledge of electrical components, wiring methods, and the National Electrical Code.

  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.

  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.

  • Dependable, safety-focused, and able to complete work within required deadlines.

  • Positive attitude and ability to work effectively as part of a team.

  • Must be able to maintain a drug- and alcohol-free workplace.

Physical and Work Requirements

  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds, including lifting to an overhead position.

  • Ability to stand, bend, twist, reach, and climb ladders throughout the workday.
