Your Role: 

As Heavy Equipment Operator – Excavator / Loader you will be responsible for operating excavators and loaders to handle waste materials efficiently and safely. This role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety.

• Operate loaders to move, load, and transport waste materials at various sites
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of equipment to ensure safety and compliance with regulatory requirements
• Conduct routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment to ensure optimal performance
• Follow site plans and instructions to complete tasks accurately and efficiently.
• Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and regulations while operating equipment
• Communicate with team members and supervisors to coordinate tasks and ensure smooth operations
• Maintain detailed records of equipment usage, maintenance, and any issues encountered
• Assist in site clean-up and organization as needed

What We’re Looking For: 

• Proven experience as a heavy equipment operator, preferably in the waste management 
• Strong knowledge of loader operation, maintenance, and safety procedures
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and procedures
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Physical stamina to handle the demands of the job, including lifting and operating heavy equipment
• Shifts may vary, 40+ hours per week (overtime available)
