Job Title: Front Gate Cashier

Job Summary: The Front Gate Cashier is responsible for providing a welcoming first impression to guests by efficiently processing ticket sales and admissions. This role handles cash and electronic transactions accurately, answers guest questions about park policies and attractions and ensures a smooth entry experience. Front Gate Cashiers maintain a friendly, professional attitude while working in a fast-paced environment and following all company procedures related to cash handling and guest service.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Must be able to promote the park with the utmost enthusiasm and pride while interacting with Guests.
  • Proficient knowledge of computers with the ability to learn new programs.
  • Sales of various season passes and ticket types.
  • Handling various ticket transactions including advanced sales, group sales, complimentary tickets, season tickets, promotional tickets, and reconciling ticket problems.
  • Responsible for the accurate recording of all ticket options, ensuring an accurate record of Guest attendance.
  • Providing prompt and courteous resolutions to Guest concerns daily while seeking new methods to increase Guest satisfaction.
  • Respond to or notify security of an emergency in the area and maintain control until a supervisor arrives.
  • Complete all tasks as requested by management.

Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required).
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in retail or customer service (preferred).

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Excellent communication skills to interact with customers professionally and kindly.
  • Accuracy in ticket sales, pricing, and record keeping.
  • Basic math skills for handling cash transactions.
  • Ability to manage ticketing issues, customer complaints, or logistical problems.
  • Comfortable with ticketing software and point-of-sale (POS) systems.

Physical Requirements:

  • Standing and walking for long periods on surfaces such as uneven surfaces and hard flooring.
  • Physical exertion such as frequent bending, twisting, stretching, stooping, and reaching overhead.
  • Must be able to work in all weather conditions and elements including the direct sunlight with no shade, cold, rain, etc.

Safety Expectations:

  • Promote and practice safe work practices at all times.
  • Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed.
  • Adhere to company, state and federal safety standards and regulations.
