Employees are eligible to participate in the Company’s Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP).   A-1 is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team and keep our fleet running safely and efficiently.    Key Responsibilities Perform preventive maintenance on company fleet to ensure equipment readiness Diagnose mechanical issues and identify worn or damaged components Repair and replace parts across systems (engine, electrical, brakes, hydraulics, fuel, etc.) Conduct test drives to verify repairs and proper performance Complete regeneration (regen) processes and diagnose after-treatment faults Maintain accurate service and repair records Ensure compliance with federal and state safety and emissions standards Keep shop equipment in working order and report needed repairs Manage inventory of tools, parts, and supplies Maintain cleanliness and appearance of vehicles and work area Support team needs and assist with additional maintenance tasks as needed QualificationsRequirements Minimum 2 years of diesel repair experience Diesel mechanic certification required CDL Class B preferred High school diploma or GED Work Environment & Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 100 lbs and stand for extended periods Work performed outdoors in varying weather conditions Exposure to loud noise; proper PPE required (steel-toe boots, safety glasses, etc.) Frequent standing, walking, bending, and use of hands/tools Schedule Full-time, non-exempt position Nights and weekends may be required Limited travel
