Perricone Juices is currently seeking a Production Planning Coordinator for our Fort Pierce facility, to help lead and advance our operations. This position offers long-term stability and a comprehensive benefits package, including health, vision, dental, life insurance, and a 401(k) plan.   Position Summary: The Transportation Coordinator supports Perricone Farms’ transportation and logistics operations by coordinating daily routing, dispatch, carrier communication, and compliance tasks. This role ensures accurate and timely delivery of customer orders, assists with fleet documentation and maintenance scheduling, and helps maintain compliance with DOT and food safety regulations. The Transportation Coordinator serves as a key link between drivers, warehouse teams, customer service, and third-party carriers to keep operations running efficiently. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: The following duties are representative of the position; other duties may be assigned as business needs require. Transportation Operations & Coordination Prepare and update daily delivery schedules and route plans. Dispatch and communicate instructions to Class A drivers and third-party carriers. Monitor deliveries and address delays or exceptions. Coordinate yard flow, trailer staging, and freezer logistics with warehouse staff. Assist in arranging shipments, routing, and order documentation. Compliance & Documentation. Ensure all PPE and safety protocols are followed. Assist with DOT, FMCSA, CHP, ARB, OSHA, and FDA compliance requirements. Support audits by keeping accurate and organized records. Communication & Support Act as the primary contact between transportation, warehouse, and customer service. Communicate order or delivery issues to internal teams and escalate as needed. Assist with resolving customer or carrier delivery complaints. Participate in safety and logistics meetings. Fleet & Reporting Support Track fleet maintenance schedules and assist in planning preventative maintenance. Help monitor transportation OKRs including on-time delivery and order accuracy. Prepare daily/weekly reports for the Transportation Manager. Assist in gathering freight rate information for outbound shipments. Food Safety Responsibilities Comply with FDA, SQF, HACCP, GMP, Non-GMO, and Organic standards. Assist in food safety audits and inspections. Follow food safety and quality protocols at all times. Primary Objective: Provide operational support for transportation and logistics functions with a focus on: Scheduling and routing daily deliveries Coordinating with drivers, warehouse, and customer service teams Maintaining compliance documentation and records Supporting food safety and quality standards   QualificationsEducation & Experience High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree preferred. 1–2 years of experience in transportation, logistics, dispatching, or warehouse operations. Experience in food/beverage or cold-chain logistics a plus. Skills & Competencies Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Basic knowledge of DOT and transportation regulations. ERP/WMS experience preferred (NetSuite and RFSmart a plus). Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred. Skills & Abilities Strong leadership and communication skills. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities. Knowledge of warehouse safety practices and regulatory compliance. Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, data entry, reporting). Bilingual in Spanish/English preferred. Physical Demands and Work Environment: Physical Requirements Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs. regularly. Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching throughout the shift. Ability to work in cold, noisy environments. Operation of forklifts, pallet jacks, and RF scanning equipment. Work Environment Refrigerated warehouse and loading dock areas. Exposure to cold temperatures, noise, moving equipment. Occasional outdoor exposure (yard/trailer checks).
