Job Description

As a Security Guard - Armed Patrol Officer in Buffalo Grove, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an armed Patrol Officer at a busy manufacturing location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will document observations, communicate clearly with site teams, and provide customer-focused support to employees and visitors. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and/or visitors by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an industrial manufacturing location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, warehouses, loading docks, parking areas, and perimeter fencing to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify hazards or irregular conditions.
• Monitor access points, gates, and/or receiving areas; verify identification or visitor authorization as required; and direct visitors to the appropriate check-in process.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or requests for assistance in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to site contacts and/or emergency services when needed.
• Complete detailed reports and logs for patrols, incidents, and daily activity, and communicate security-related information to Allied Universal supervision and site representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• An armed guard card and/or license is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
