The Director of Emergency Services provides strategic and operational leadership for the Emergency Department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care that meets organizational goals, regulatory requirements, trauma standards, and national best practices. This role collaborates closely with physicians, EMS leadership, trauma services, and interdisciplinary teams to drive clinical excellence, operational efficiency, and exceptional patient outcomes.

Position Details:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee all clinical and operational activities within Emergency Services.

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, trauma, and emergency care standards.

  • Manage departmental budgets and resources to support cost-effective, high-quality patient care.

  • Direct recruitment, staffing, employee relations, performance management, and workforce development.

  • Develop collaborative partnerships across departments to improve patient care and operational performance.

  • Support trauma program compliance and participate in performance improvement initiatives.

  • Oversee the Life Line program, including utilization, compliance, service line growth, and marketing strategies.

  • Monitor department performance metrics and implement continuous quality and patient safety improvements.

Qualifications:
Education: Graduate of an approved school of nursing. Current licensure by the State Board of Nursing in the applicable state of practice. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
Experience: Three to five years experience in a management or administrative position. Three to five years pertinent clinical experience.
Preferred Education: Master's Degree in Nursing/Administration.
