POSITION SUMMARY
As an employee of Sioux Manufacturing, you are expected to present yourself in a professional manner to coworkers, other departments as well as customers and vendors. The position will provide technical support, maintenance and continuous improvements for Sioux Manufacturing’s facility and equipment. You must correctly train and follow all required processes and procedures.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Professionally, timely and accurately work on projects assigned by the Facility and Equipment Manager (installations, preventive maintenance, repairs, rebuilds, upgrades etc.).
• Will coordinate with and cooperatively work with engineering and maintenance to quickly and accurately solve problems and/or repair production and/or facility issues including but not limited to mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, plumbing, HVAC, etc.
• Accurately repair equipment and/or find replacement parts, supplies using manuals, internet, catalogs, technical support and/or other avenues for accurate troubleshooting.
• Work on projects assigned by the Facility and Equipment Manager (installations, preventive maintenance, repairs, rebuilds, upgrades etc.).
• Develop a list of parts for equipment that can be used for ordering and stocking critical supplies for the equipment and facility.
• Professionally, accurately, timely communication with other techs, production departments, and manager to ensure equipment issues are properly resolved and working efficiently.
• Conduct and/or assist in daily equipment inspections, preventive maintenance and facilities checks to accurately collect and record data pertaining to these activities.
• Ensure that you have filled out and filed all necessary paperwork including but not limited to RFP’s, PM’s equip manuals to certify each department can operate efficiently and successfully produce the needed production in the schedule.
• Correctly, follow standard operating procedures, work processes, engineer directive and other documented work instructions.
• Follow all safety procedures, processes, and properly maintain production equipment.
• Continually keep all work areas including your personal workspace clean, free of safety hazards, assist others in the process as needed.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
• Watch gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.
• Check and maintain machine speeds, systems, rollers, air systems, filters, oilers as required in equipment documentation and department procedures.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on equipment to ensure quality products.
• Attend scheduled meetings and/or training when needed and/or assigned.
• Assist with other departmental operations and/or projects assigned and/or requested.
• Other duties as assigned by the department manager.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
• Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective operations for the safety of people, property, and Sioux Manufacturing Corporation.
• Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles, involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
• Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, and their applications.
• Knowledge to identify underlying principles, reasons, or facts of information by breaking down information or data into separate parts to improve your skills and/or department processes.
• Knowledge to develop constructive and working relationships with others to cooperatively work together and achieve quality products timely and support positive interactions over time.
• Use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
• Be able to effectively communicate information to co-workers, department supervisors, department management, and ensure accurate transition of that information.
• Ability to use relevant information and individual judgment to determine whether current processes comply with standards operating procedures, quality standards and/or documented client provided requirements.
• Ability to use hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials, and manipulating objects as required by all standard operating procedures and/or other documented instructions.

COMPUTER SKILLS
•Desktop/Office suite, Human Resources/timekeeping, machine specific, work-related phone apps.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Required: High school diploma or GED required. A valid driver's license must be kept during employment.
Preferred: Two (2) year technical college and/or 2 years of manufacturing maintenance experience.
A blend of education and/or significant, relevant experience that gives related, current knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully navigate the position may be substituted for required education.
